Recycle old technology for Comic Relief

OUT-LAW News, 03/03/2005

Recycle for Red Nose Day is the message from recycling company Eurosource, which is looking for donations of old mobile phones or inkjet printer cartridges to support Comic Relief and to help the environment.

Red Nose Day takes place on 11th March and Eurosource this week pledged to give cash to Comic Relief for every mobile and cartridge recycled through its new eco-friendly fundraiser.

As the value of each type of mobile or cartridge depends on its model or age, the company has set up a dedicated web site listing what can be recycled and how much money will be given to Comic Relief for each one.

Just put your old mobile or inkjet cartridge into a secure envelope, says Eurosource, and post it to the Comic Relief Recycling Appeal, Freepost NAT1990, Falkirk, FK2 9BR.

Epson cartridges are not accepted and the items must be posted by 15th April.

Jamie Rae, CEO of Eurosource, said:

"Red Nose Day encourages people to do something out-of-the-ordinary to raise funds. Sadly, for a lot of people in Britain, recycling is out-of-the-ordinary...so we want to encourage more people to be environmentally friendly and help this great charity at the same time."
