News agency sues over Google News

OUT-LAW News, 21/03/2005
News service Agence France Presse has sued Google Inc., alleging that the search engine infringes its copyright by publishing its subscription-only photos, headlines and story leads on the Google News service without permission, according to Reuters.

The suit, filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday, seeks an injunction against Google's unauthorised use of the material and damages of at least $17.5 million, reports Reuters.
