Long arm of OUT-LAW grabs another top legal award
Press release: 23/10/2000
Leading online legal service OUT-LAW.COM is celebrating after
picking up yet another top industry award.
The innovative site launched by international law firm Masons
six months ago, scooped top honours in the prestigious Legal IT
Awards for the category of Best Use of New Media. Masons were
described as having succeeded “in its aim to arrive at a supreme
marketing tool with a “highly innovative” web site that “has
undoubtedly gone one step further.”
Picking up the award at a ceremony in the Gleneagles Hotel,
Masons partner Jon Fell said: “We’ve been absolutely delighted with
the response to out-law.com within the new media and e-commerce
industry. It’s great to receive such recognition for all the hard
work that’s gone into making the service a success.
“This is our second award in as many weeks after picking up The
Insider’s Best Law Firm Website of the Year and we’re now planning
on rolling out phase two of out-law.com."
The site has proven invaluable to many new economy businesses
since its launch.
The firm estimates that the number of registered users will grow
from 3,000 in year one to 10,000 in year two. Jon Fell added: “We
knew the concept of an online legal service aimed at helping
companies in the new economy would be a winner from the outset but
the key to success has been in staying ahead of the field.
“We’ve done this by hiring a full-time online editor, ensuring
that out-law.com stays at the cutting edge of the industry.
E-commerce is such a fast-moving sector and companies want instant
online access to quality advice and expertise where and when they
need it.”
The site was designed by Black ID and developed by Realise.
