Yvonne Dunn's biography
Yvonne is a Senior Associate in the Outsourcing & Technology
Group, specialising in providing commercial technology and
intellectual property advice to traditional and new economy
businesses throughout the UK and Europe. Yvonne also has
experience in advising creative industries businesses on the
creation, protection and exploitation of their intellectual
property rights.
Key relevant experience includes:
- Advising Winning Moves, an online publisher of
computer games in relation to contracts and retainers with
developers and other contractual documentation.
- Advising C2 Software Limited on software
development and support contracts in connection with its
Activedition software product
- Advising TeleIT Limited on a software
development and support contract with the International Federation
of Accountants
- Advising Gabriel Films on the sales and
distribution contracts for the feature film Afterlife
- Advising The Comedy Unit on an animation
commissioning contract for The Karen Dunbar Show
- Advising Glasgow Film Finance Limited on
structural and funding issues in connection with the establishment
of a film finance fund
- Advising an independent film production company on
international co-development and co-production funding, including
applications to the Department of Culture, Media & Sport for
"British film" status
- Advising independent television companies on broadcaster
commissioning agreements with BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five and
Discovery Channel
- Advising technology companies on finance raising through public
and private sector sources.
Yvonne is a regular contributor to the business press on IT and
creative industries matters and speaks regularly on intellectual
property and finance issues specific to creative businesses. She
runs surgery sessions for start up companies in conjunction with
the Cultural Enterprise Office and regularly advises start up
companies in the media and technology sectors. Yvonne is a member
of BAFTA and a board member of Theatre Cryptic and Giant
Productions.
