WIPD kit for IP specialists

If you are an IP specialist we hope you will support World Intellectual Property Day. We are encouraging all specialists to do the same as us: open your doors for a day. There are some materials here to help you.

You probably give potential clients some free advice anyway and may question the need for a day of free advice. We don’t expect doors to be broken down by crowds seeking advice on 26th April. Instead, we’re trying to raise awareness of IP and of where to turn for advice. This is not a cynical marketing exercise; it’s what World Intellectual Property Day is all about. If it helps some people to learn a little more about IP than they knew before, the Day is a step in the right direction.

Here are things you can do.

Display the World Intellectual Property Day logo on your site.

Here are two versions of the WIPD logo:

World Intellectual Property Day, 26 AprilWorld Intellectual Property Day, 26 April

Pick the one that works best against the background of your website.

Take them if you wish or design your own. The logo was designed by Pinsent Masons’ Web & Media Architect, David Raven. The copyright is owned by Pinsent Masons. Here are the terms of use:

  1. Do what you want with the WIPD logos on this page – i.e. you can copy it, stretch it, colour it, chop it up, give it away, stick it on a T-shirt and sell it. Or anything else you can think of.
  2. We don’t care if you don’t say where you found it.

Display a page on your website like ours.

We have some information about the day in our story, Get free advice on World Intellectual Property Day and the free advice being offered. Copy that page and edit it as you see fit for your own purposes. If you want to make people aware of the day but don’t want to offer advice, just make the changes. You’re free to use the content.

If you want to take the text of our Book an appointment page too, feel free. You can use our conditions, tweak them or make up your own. Just remember to remove Luisa’s name as the point of contact.

Can I copy this page?

If you really want it, yes, feel free to copy this page too.

I'm not a specialist. Can I help?

Yes, we'd love it if you promoted WIPD. See our WIPD kit for bloggers and others.
